Toronto, ON — The Broken Social Scene of the art world, four established artists (Stewart Jones, David Grieve, Peter Rotter, Joseph Sampson) join forces in City Field North Shore (CFNS), a collective art opening at Lennox Contemporary Art Gallery, Thursday, December 10th at 7pm. Join CFNS as they introduce new work and collaborate with Lake Ontario Waterkeeper to raise awareness about environmental issues. Lennox Contemporary is located at 12 Ossington Ave.
CFNS is a unique collective of four established artists who paint interpretations of the world around them. Combined they cover the four elements that exemplify what it means to live in Ontario and Canada at large. Stewart Jones paints cityscapes, David Grieve paints fields, Peter Rotter paints the northern Canadian landscapes and Joseph Sampson concentrates on shorelines of the lakes and oceans around him.
CFNS is a distinctly Canadian and original collective. They are young, driven and award winning artists whose work shows across Canada and the world. CFNS has a social conscious and through their work aims to raise awareness about fine art while at that the same time supporting causes such as Waterkeeper (http://www.waterkeeper.ca/) and Saving the Niagara Escarpment. The members of CFNS are long time friends. They are dedicated to the artistic process and to exploring their subjects intensely.
