City pumping sewage to prevent basement flooding

The City of Niagara Falls is pumping raw sewage from two sites in Chippawa to prevent basement flooding because of the heavy rainfall and melting snow.

Crews are pumping Cattell Street from the sanitary maintenance hole to the storm sewer and on Front Street from a sanitary maintenance hole to the Welland River, the city reports.
