Are you an outgoing, motivated and enthusiastic person who is interested in music and environmental issues? Lake Ontario Waterkeeper (LOW) is hiring a part-time Swim Drink Fish Music Team Captain for the summer of 2010! This exciting position is perfect for someone who enjoys talking to others, going to music festivals and wants to break into the not-for-profit sector. The SDFM Team Captain will support LOW staff at events located across the Lake Ontario watershed.

Qualifications:
This role requires you to be responsible, outgoing, professional and have experience working off-site (ie, not in an office). You must have a valid G level driver’s license, you must be at least 19 years old and willing to work mostly weekends with travel involved. The SDFM Captain will be comfortable recruiting team members and speaking to a variety of different people including musicians, members of LOW and concert-goers. In this position you will also need experience in leadership roles and demonstrate good teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:
-Attend all events throughout the summer (mostly weekends).
-Staff a LOW/SDFM booth or table and sell our merchandise.
-Recruit a volunteer team to assist you throughout the summer.
-Speak with a variety of people about SDFM including patrons, LOW members and musicians.
-Assist LOW staff with events planning.
-Maintain inventory of items before, during and after events.
-Setup and take-down event displays.
-Promotion of event is the host community (includes postering, online event promo and more)
