In addition to Great Lakes beaches, you can now check the status of swimming spots in Ottawa, Edmonton and Vancouver online. As of this week, Swim Guide is also available for Android users, as well as iPhone/iPad/iPad touch users. |  | Reason 2: Melanie Price swims across Lake Ontario Did you hear?Melanie Price is swimming across Lake Ontario next week to raise funds for Lake Ontario Waterkeeper! Melanie will leave Port Dalhousie on August 12th at 12 a.m. with her team. This will put her back on dry land in Oakville late in the evening that same day! This 21-hour endurance swim is something Melanie has been training for all season. We couldn’t be more grateful. We need your help. Please donate to Lake Ontario Waterkeeper to help us reach the $10,000 goal set by Melanie for this swim. Donations can be made online or you can send a cheque to Lake Ontario Waterkeeper’s office at 600 Bay Street, Suite 410, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 1M6.
