Lafarge Canada Inc. have applied for a Category 2 Class “A” licence (Quarry Below Water) to remove aggregate from a quarry of 7.0 hectares in size. This application is for an extension to an established quarry. The annual tonnage condition applied for is 600,000 tonnes. Other Information: Lafarge Canada Inc. currently operates the site under the authority of Licences # 3087 and 3072 under the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA). Approximately 38 hectares are currently licenced by Lafarge. The existing Lafarge Canada Inc. quarries have common boundaries on the east and west with licensed quarries operated by other aggregate companies.
