Open house looks at waterfront development
Kristina McGarry, Mississauga.com

Residents are invited to an open house on Feb. 23 to learn more about plans for Mississauga’s waterfront.

The session, to take place at the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre (1389 Cawthra Rd.) starting at 6:30 p.m., is the first public information centre and open house for the Lakeview Waterfront Connection project.

The project is part of the Inspiration Lakeview process that began in 2010. It proposes creating a natural waterfront park along Mississauga’s eastern shoreline to re-establish natural coastal habitats, create public green space and facilitate sustainable city building.

The open house, and future meetings, will introduce the project to the community, summarize requirements with respect to an environmental assessment and include discussion on other projects in the area.
