A public meeting on Oct. 23 will present the request by DL Services Inc. to have parcels of land, located on Goodyear Road, rezoned so that its permitted uses can include the proposed facilities, which would be regulated by the Ministry of the Environment.

The zoning by-law amendment will expand current uses permitted on the land, which is in two different parcels and both of which are designated industrial.

The company has also applied for two lot severances, which will restructure the properties and create a location that will comply with the Town’s policy and zoning by-law requirements for the proposed industrial use.

DL Services is an environmental consultant and contractor that provides remediation solutions, including facilities that treat soils impacted by oil and fuel spills. According to its website, DLS Group has completed more than 4,500 remediation projects since 1996, and its staff include environmental technicians, geoscientists and engineers.
