Inspired by Earth Day and the words of musician Pete Seeger, we asked you to participate in nature in April.
Myron from Mississauga rose to the challenge. He was part of a team that planted 500 trees and shrubs at Spruce Park! Myron is our April Challenge hero.
Did you know that trees are important for watershed health? Trees (namely their roots) provide erosion protection on the banks of lakes, rivers, and streams. In addition, trees provide much-needed shade to keep waters cool and help to reduce evaporation.
A huge thanks to Myron for submitting his story and to everyone who got out there to participate in nature!
