As we approached the end of summer, we asked you to “Share your love for Ontario’s Parks!” With all of the green spaces and rugged trails this province has to offer, it was great to see which parks you enjoy. Thank you to everyone who participated and tweeted their photos!
Congratulations to @zombielle for sharing her photo of Presqu’ile Provincial Park! By tweeting her love for Presqu’ile, she’s won one of our sweet SwimDrinkFish t-shirts!
Some quick bits on Presqu’ile:
The park is located in Brighton, Ontario, on the northshore of Lake Ontario. Presqu’ile Provincial Park is a boomerang-shaped spit of sand and limestone that juts into Lake Ontario. The park is open year-round and up to 336 species of birds have been spotted within the park. Presqu'ile is French for almost an island.
The summer’s not over yet, so if you’d like to check out Presqu’ile or another park in this great province, make some time and get out there!
