The 2nd Annual Water Research Symposium showcases the breadth of the University of Waterloo’s water research programs. Krystyn Tully (VP, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper) will be participating in a roundtable discussion on the topic “Future of the Great Lakes”.
The University of Waterloo established the Water Institute in 2009 to promote and support water-related research and education, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary issues and activities. Currently, the Water Institute is comprised of some 130 researchers from across all 6Waterloo academic faculties and a graduate student chapter with over 400 members. A cornerstone activity of the Water Institute is the annual research symposium.
