In April 2013, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, the Canadian Environmental Law Association, Greenpeace, and Northwatch filed a lawsuit in federal court, challenging the adequacy of the environmental assessment. The Federal Court dismissed our application but we appealed.
On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, the adequacy of the environmental assessment conducted for the Darlington refurbishment will be decided again but this time at the Federal Court of Appeal. Waterkeeper is represented by CELA and Ecojustice in the appeal.
