Swimmable Summer Workshop @ Evergreen Brick Works

  • Evergreen Brick Works 550 Bayview Ave Toronto, ON, M4W 3X8 Canada (map)

Calling all recreational water users! Are you one of the thousands of Torontonians who love to play in our city's waters? Do you happen to swim near a wastewater treatment plant? Do you SUP by a combined sewer overflow?

How would you know?

As part of Evergreen Brick Works’ Urban Watershed Festival, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper's Krystyn Tully is leading a workshop that will help prepare you with the knowledge you need to ensure you’re in safe waters.

Join us for: 5 Things You Need to Know for a Swimmable Summer @ 1pm

In this 1-hr session, we’ll work with recreational water users (like you) to help you identify and address pollution problems that may pose a risk to your health. We'll explain the water quality standards and rules that protect your right to swimmable water and ensure a clean, healthy watershed. You'll leave equipped with the information you need to enjoy summer on Toronto's waterfront.

Find out more about this fantastic festival celebrating our watershed.
