What does it mean to be a Swim Guide affiliate? Swim Guide affiliates contribute to a global database of recreational water quality information, which helps keep beachgoers safe from contaminated water and helps you understand the health of your watershed. There are a range of benefits of becoming an affiliate, including access to our international network of supporters, social media promotion, access to training modules and webinars, and more.
In this one-hour webinar by Canadian Freshwater Alliance and Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, you'll learn about the platform and what it means to be a part of Swim Guide.
The webinar will be led by:
- Krystyn Tully, Vice-President, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper
- Lyndsay Telfar, National Project Director, Canadian Freshwater Alliance
- Brigitte Dreger-Smylie, Swim Guide Affiliates Coordinator, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper
Swim Guide was created in 2011 to answer the simple question, is it safe to swim in Lake Ontario? Today, the mobile app and website is used by over 550,000 people, in four countries, and provides water quality information for more than 7000 beaches!
The Swim Guide community is growing quickly and it's a great time to be a part of it.
