It's time for the Couchiching Conservancy's Annual General Meeting!
Another successful year! Our capacity to protect vulnerable environments and engage an increasing audience in conservation continues to grow. This is due to our strong culture and our talented people. -- Margaret Pomeroy, President at The Couchiching Conservancy
Get updated on the great work this 23-year organization has done. We're also proud to have our President and Waterkeeper, Mark Mattson as the featured guest speaker!
Not sure what happens at an AGM? Tanya Clark, the Couchiching Conservancy's development co-ordinator summarized it quite well for the Orillia Packet.
The annual report is one of the important documents we share in advance of our annual general meeting. If you consider yourself a nature lover, are a supporter of or volunteer with the conservancy, you are invited. Taking place Feb 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at ODAS Park, this is a perfect chance to delve into the world of local land-trust work. During the meeting, the executive director and board will present accomplishments and highlights from the year, discuss plans for the future and handle the "business" side of things. This year, we will be joined by Mark Mattson, of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper. As our guest speaker, he will share his knowledge on the health of the Great Lakes.
Well done to everyone at the Couchiching Conservancy. Here's to another great year.
