The Community Cafe is an evening of dialogue, idea exchange and creativity around ways that Canadians can celebrate our Great Lakes. Ideas generated during the café will inform Canada’s efforts to engage the public on Great Lakes issues. The Great Lakes are critical to Canada’s economic prosperity, sustaining our communities and conserving our environment. The Lakes formed our past and will help shape our future. This workshop begins the process of co-creating multiple ways to celebrate them. Ideas generated will also inform the design of the upcoming “Celebrating Our Great Lakes Day” during the Great Lakes Public Forum October 4th to 6th, 2016.
Opening remarks by MP Sven Spengemann, Councillor Jim Tovey and Deborah Martin-Downs, CAO Credit Valley Conservation Authority.
Waterkeeper will also be in attendance, so join us and tell us your connection with the Great Lakes!
Great Lakes Community Cafés are free and open to the public.
