2016 Climate Summit of the Americas

The 2016 Climate Change Summit of the Americas, hosted by the Government of Jalisco through the Ministry of Environment and Territorial Development, will bring together sub-national governments throughout the American continent. Governors, Ministers, and other dignitaries and representatives from several countries around the continent and the rest of the world will be in attendance.

The hope is to follow up on the new challenges presented in the newly implemented 2030 development agenda and the Paris Agreements; in particular the exchange of experiences in climate action, financing and regulation and resume the commitments agreed in the Declaration of Ontario 2015.

On September 1 at 11:10am, Waterkeeper's Mark Mattson has been invited to speak alongside, his friend and the President of Waterkeeper Alliance, Robert Kennedy Jr. at Panel 9.2 Effectiveness of Private Financing Climate Action
