"Somewhere, some waterbody is part of who you are."
-- Mark Mattson, President and Waterkeeper
Living at the Water's Edge in Toronto is a course offered at the University of Toronto by Dr. Bonnie McElhinny for Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies. By asking students to consider social diversity and the ways in which cities interact with ecological diversity, students will consider the many ways water has influenced social histories.
Waterkeeper is very proud to have the Watermark Project integrated once again into Dr. McElhinny's university curriculum! Dr. McElhinny's students are assigned the tasks of sharing their Watermarks in addition to collecting 5 more.
Waterkeeper and President, Mark Mattson will introduce the Watermark Project and explain why it's crucial to the future of Canada's swimmable drinkable fishable water.
