Every Tuesday in September, Waterkeeper will conduct a volunteer-led water sampling outing! The results of the sampling will go towards Lake Ontario Waterkeeper's ongoing investigation into the health of Toronto's recreational waters, specifically within Toronto's inner harbour.

The sampling excursion will include water sampling training led by Lake Ontario Waterkeeper staff followed by testing at three sites along the waterfront. We'll also give you all sorts of fun facts about Lake Ontario! Every week has a different focus: Water literacy, pollution reporting, technical aspects of water sampling, and citizen reporting

Each Tuesday, we'll meet outside the PawsWay Marina (245 Queens Quay W) at 9 am and proceed to sample from these key locations in Toronto’s inner harbour:

  • Purina PawsWay
  • The Harbourfront Canoe and Kayak Centre
  • Bathurst Quay

Each session will wrap up by 11:30 am.
