The Toronto Island Lake Swim is an annual favourite for open water swimmers around the lake.
"Ontarians are blessed with a beautiful lake right in our backyard. And there’s no reason we all shouldn’t go out and enjoy the landscape that we’ve been granted access to." -- Madhu Nagaraja
Waterkeeper is the proud charity partner of this fantastic event raising awareness for water quality and Toronto's beaches.
Hop on the ferry to Toronto Island and take part in one of three races, all starting at Centre Island Pier. The event offers a 750m, a 1.5km, and a 3.8km swim. If you aren’t swimming come down to the beach to cheer on hundreds of athletes and enjoy the fun and festive beach atmosphere.
