Michael Barclay is a Canadian music journalist who wrote extensively about the Hip's final tour for Maclean's magazine, and is one of the co-authors of CanRock compendium Have Not Been the Same. This fresh-from-the-press gorgeous hardcover book draws from 80+ new interviews with friends and peers, managers and producers to tell the story of this band –– and many bands: cover bands, opening bands, aging bands, Canadian bands. A story of poetry and performance, of dealing with disease and seeking reconciliation, of dance and its disappearance. 33 years of reasons why 11 million Canadians tuned in for the Hip's final show.

Come celebrate with us in Toronto on the checkerboard floors.

Presented in part by Ace Hill Brewery.
