A presentation by the Wolfe Island Historical Society  featuring an exclusive first sneak peak of the artefacts excavated from Brophy’s Point in the 50’s and 60’s.Photos of a selection of the artefacts will be on display alongside details o n how you can help bring these artefacts home to Wolfe Island.

King Wolf Swim

Started in 2014, the King Wolf Swim is a point-to-point open water swim across the St. Lawrence River/Lake Ontario from Kingston to Wolfe Island, Ontario. It is held annually in July. Easily accessible from Toronto, Ottawa and Syracuse, this is a great swim for more experienced open water swimmers! Complete the swim, enjoy lunch on Wolfe Island, then take the ferry back to Kingston. Sanctioned by Triathlon Ontario.

 

The 2017 King Wolf Swim is part of the Kingston and Wolfe Island Culture Festival

Eating Lake Ontario 2 is your chance to learn more about these important questions. Chef Matt Hewson of the Wolfe Island Grill is cooking up a 3-course dinner of fish from the Great Lakes, along with optional wine pairings from Prince Edward County. Colin Lake from the Ministry of Natural Resources will speak about the past, present and future of fishing in Lake Ontario, including Wolfe Island.

The 7-week festival runs from June 23 - August 12,  and will and explore Kingston and Wolfe Island Area exemplify all that the Great Lakes can provide in a swimmable, drinkable, fishable future.

The Kingston & Wolfe Island Culture Festival will launch with the Wolfe Island Festival of the Arts, June 23 - 24th; and will close with the Wolfe Island Music Festival, August 11 - 12th.
