David was introduced to oil painting at a young age while accompanying his mother to her studio. He studied art at the University of Guelph where he began developing his unique, distinctive style. Using a multi-layered technique, he applies thick swaths of oil paint, creating a translation of the landscape that surrounds him.

David has received scholarships and awards for his paintings. He has been involved in numerous group and solo exhibitions in commercial as well as public galleries across Canada, U.S.A., and the U.K.

David lives surrounded by the fields in Brantford, Ontario with his wife and three sons.
