Stewart Graduated in 1995 with an Associate Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Ontario College of Art as well as having completed the 3 yr Classical Animation program at Sheridan College. He has shown his Urban cityscapes around Toronto and various galleries in Ontario for the past 9 years with group and solo shows as well as being apart of the CityFieldNorthShore collective. Stewart’s urban landscapes are a reflection of pedestrian life in the city. Composed mostly of askew angles and perspectives, the natural light and its relationship with the old buildings and empty spaces and how the two interact in an urban setting are a staple of these paintings.
Stewart is also involved in the Canadian independent music scene having worked with and created album artwork for Jill Barber, Wayne Petti, Cuff The Duke, Justin Rutledge and Sarah Harmer.
Stewart continues to paint from his travels and has exhibited work from New York City, Chicago, Brooklyn, Havana, Glasgow, Paris, Bordeaux, London, Vancouver, Hamilton and of course, Toronto where he currently resides.
