Denise Donlon Recently named Executive Director of CBC Radio. From 2000 – 2004, Ms. Donlon was President of Sony Music Canada, one of the world’s preeminent music recording companies. Prior to that, Ms. Donlon held a number of executive positions with CHUM Television (MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic, Citytv, etc.) engaging the stations in award winning television and a wide array of societal issue programming. More recently, Ms. Donlon was the producer of President Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday party event in Toronto, co-producer of Live 8 Canada and one of the organizers of the Canadian tsunami relief television event on the CBC. Denise has been honoured numerous times, by organizations such as Women in Film & Television Toronto, the Canadian Music Week Industry, Canadian Women in Communications, Wired Woman Society’s, and the Broadcast Hall of Fame. In 2005, Ms. Donlon was invested with Canada’s highest civilian honour, The Order of Canada. |

Gord Downie is the lead vocalist and driving creative force behind “Canada’s band”, The Tragically Hip, who have thrilled audiences around the world with their live performances for two decades. When not writing, recording and touring tirelessly with The Tragically Hip, Downie also enjoys a successful career as a solo artist. In the summer of 2001, he released Coke Machine Glow – an album accompanied by a book of poetry, of the same name. Coke Machine Glow garnered critical acclaim, paving the way for 2003′s Battle of the Nudes, Downie’s second solo endeavor. |

Adele Hurley Adele Hurley co-founded the Canadian Coalition on Acid Rain in 1980, which quickly became the largest single issue citizen’s coalition in Canada. In the early 1990′s she was appointed to the Board of Directors of Ontario Hydro, where she served as the first Chair of the Environment Committee of what was then the largest utility in North America. In 1995 she was appointed by the Prime Minister’s Office to serve as Canadian Co-Chair of the International Joint Commission which oversees Canada/US boundary water issues according to the Boundary Waters Treaty of 1909. Ms. Hurley has served as a member of the Canadian Federal Government’s International Trade Advisory Committee-Task Force On Environment and Trade Policy. On April 1, 2001 Adele Hurley became a Senior Fellow at the Munk Centre for International Studies, University of Toronto, where she runs the Program On Water Issues. |

Moses Znaimer is co-founder and former President and Executive Producer of Toronto’s radical and popular independent television station, Citytv Toronto. Born in Tajikistan, Moses arrived in Montreal, a post war “DP” (displaced person), in 1948. His formal education was completed at McGill (Honours B.A.) and Harvard (M.A.) Universities. He holds a Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) from Athabasca University, along with Honourary Doctoral Degrees from York University (2001) and the University of Windsor (2003). He is currently a Senior Resident at Massey College in the University of Toronto. |
